Kelvin Fletcher in tears after 'proudest moment' with daughter Marnie

Kelvin's Big Farming Adventure fans weren't the only ones getting emotional in last night's episode as the host himself shed a few tears.

It seemed the farming life was becoming overwhelming for former Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher as viewers saw Kelvin, along with his wife and children, head to an agricultural competition to showcase their sheep.

The family had been showing their flock of 28 sheep and prepping a few of them to take to the show.

Washing their hooves and clipping the coats, the family hoped to bring home some wins as the sheep were judged.

But whilst Kelvin failed to snag any himself, he found himself in tears as daughter Marnie, 5, managed to win a rosette.

Kelvin and his wife Liza Marsland have two children, Marnie, five and Milo, three, and are currently expecting twins.

Speaking ahead of the show, Kelvin shared: "Tonight sees us enter our first ever livestock show with me, Liz and even little Marnie, each showing our Cotswold sheep.

"There are nerves, laughter and even tears! What a day we had"

As the show aired, he told his fans: "Are you even a real man if you don’t cry at a sheep show? Proudest Dad in the world in tonight’s ep.

"If farmers don’t cry, well they do now! #KelvinsBigFarmingAdventure Thank you for the lovely comments.

"We can’t tell you how it makes us feel hearing how you love the show so much"

It seemed fans loved the moment of Marnie bagging a rosette too as the little girl looked proud as punch after she led a sheep around the pen for the judges to see.

@mrsallanglach took to Twitter to respond to Kelvin: "Agri shows are a lifeline to agricultural communities.

"What is gained from these events is far more than bragging rights. They are a proud moment to showcase our best examples, educate the general public and bring together a very isolated part of society, farmer's!

"As a show secretary I am so glad this is featuring and also delighted you grasp their importance."

@jjowrenny found the moment adorable, commenting: "Oh Marnie!! What a star… I’m in bits here!! "

@staceyjane18 agreed, adding: "This was the most adorable moment. My heart is so happy.

"Tears of joy! What incredible real life experiences you are providing for your children"

@rebeccap33agreed with Kelvin's tears, continuing: "this show! Even this got me all emotional
