Kelsey Parker has paid an emotional tribute to her daughter Aurelia on her sixth birthday, just days after confirming the stillbirth of her third child, a baby boy named Phoenix.
The 34-year-old author and podcaster, who was married to The Wanted singer Tom Parker until his death in 2022, returned to Instagram over the weekend to share a heartfelt message and montage in honour of her daughter’s special day. The video featured clips and photographs from Aurelia’s first six years, including early moments with her late father.
In a caption alongside the post, Parker wrote: “Aurelia means ‘The Golden One’ and that’s what you are. You’ve been through so much, my darling daughter, but you’re the most precious little girl any mummy could wish for.
“I’m so happy we got to spend this weekend celebrating your birthday and turning another year older. I’m beyond proud of you and the amazing young woman you’re growing up to be.”
The tribute comes just days after Parker shared the heartbreaking news that her unborn son, her first child with partner Will Lindsay, had been stillborn in June — only a week before his expected due date.
Breaking the news with a poem, she revealed they had named the baby Phoenix. She wrote: “The world grew quiet as you arrived,So loved, so longed for, yet not alive. Our precious boy, our angel light,Born with wings, took silent flight.”
The poem continued: “No breath you drew, no eyes to see,Still, you mean everything to me.You’ll journey with us, softly near,In every sigh, in every tear.”
Addressing her followers directly via Instagram Stories, Parker thanked well-wishers for their support but asked for privacy as the family processes the loss.
“Before I receive an influx of lovely messages and heartfelt wishes, I wanted to just say that I truly appreciate everything you are all going to say and share,” she wrote.
“But with the news being so raw, I would really like to ensure that we as a family are given space and time to process this devastating and earth-shattering news. I love you all and thank you for your understanding and space. Love always, Kelsey, Will, and the Parker Family.”
