Kelly Osbourne admits she 'didn't think she could do anything without a drink' as she prepares to mark two years sobriety

Kelly Osbourne revealed that she once thought she “couldn’t do anything without being drunk of high” during darker times.

Osbourne, the daughter of Sharon and Ozzy, opened up about her sobriety during an appearance on Thursday’s Lorraine, telling the host that she is in a “great place”.

“I am almost two years sober and it’s completely changed my life. I didn’t think I could do anything if I wasn’t drunk or high, because I was scared of everything. I let it get the better of me,” Osbourne said.

“Now seeing that I don’t need that and my life is better... I don’t have any drama in my life.”

The reality star also said that she “really understands” that she is “not perfect and never will be”, adding that she “doesn’t want to be”.

Osbourne appeared on the breakfast show ahead of her latest hosting gig as she takes charge of the British LGBT Awards on Friday night.

Speaking about the community, Osbourne said: “It’s the only community where I feel like I am home and they have accepted me for the good, the bad and the ugly and liked me at my best and loved me at my worst. I have learnt so much [from them].

“Drag queens taught me how to do my make-up and taught me how to stand more like a lady.”

She added that it was an “honour” to be an ally and “lend her voice to something she truly believes in and supports”.

Lorraine airs weekdays at 8.30am on ITV.
