Kells Primary pupils in New Galloway dress up to celebrate Roald Dahl Day

Kells Primary pupils and staff celebrated Roald Dahl Day on Friday.

The fun began with the children Matildas, BFGs, Mike Teavees and many other characters from Roald Dahl’s best loved novels strutting their stuff down the catwalk, working hard to portray their character’s personality as they walked, or even crawled in the case of Alfie, the tortoise from Esio Trot.

Parents and carers joined the school for the morning, watching the catwalk and then sharing a breakfast book club where favourite excerpts from Roald Dahl stories were read to each other over croissant and fruit juice.
