Kellie Harrington says she still feels 'numb' after her incredible gold medal win at the Tokyo Olympics.
The Dubliner made her triumphant return to the capital on Tuesday as thousands lined the streets around her native Portland Row to welcome her home.
Joining the illustrious list of Irish gold medal winners, the lightweight boxer captured the hearts of the nation with her inspiring pre and post fight interviews in Japan.
And in a message on Instagram, Harrington thanked fans for all the support.
"I am still trying to process that I am the Tokyo 2020 OLYMPIC CHAMPION," Harrington said.
"Its not often I don't have words, but I feel kinda numb still and don't know what to say.
"It's some journey I am on and I am glad to take you along with me. What a beautiful nation we have. Small but my god we are mighty."
The 2018 world champion came into the games as top seed after dominating in European qualifiers earlier this year.
And after the games were postponed last year, Harrington was able to keep in top condition as she put injuries that scuppered her 2019 plans behind her for the games.

Harrington scored a comfortable win in the gold medal final on Sunday morning, beating Brazil's Beatriz Ferreira to clinch gold.
As she arrived in Portland Row on Tuesday, she told media what she's looking forward to doing next: ""I just want to put my feet up on the chair, I won't to sit down on the sofa and watch some telly or not watch telly.
"I actually like just sitting down and doing nothing and drinking tea or coffee and having scones or cakes or stuff that I can actually eat now and not having to get up every morning and check my weight.
"I make my weight quite easy but I'm very strict with my diet but not having to be strict with my diet now and eat whatever I want. These are the things most boxers look forward to, being able to eat what they want."
