Kellie Harrington reveals what she is most looking forward to after arriving home from Tokyo

Kellie Harrington has revealed what she is most looking forward to after arriving home from Tokyo with her gold medal.

Harrington landed back in Dublin on Tuesday from Tokyo and is set to go around the city in an open top bus to celebrate her achievement.

And the gold medal winner said that she is looking forward to relaxing and eating now that she has no fights to prepare for.

Speaking to media on Tuesday, she said: "I just want to put my feet up on the chair, I won't to sit down on the sofa and watch some telly or not watch telly. I actually like just sitting down and doing nothing and drinking tea or coffee and having scones or cakes or stuff that I can actually eat now and not having to get up every morning and check my weight.

"I make my weight quite easy but I'm very strict with my diet but not having to be strict with my diet now and eat whatever I want. These are the things most boxers look forward to, being able to eat what they want."

Harrington also said that she didn't even have the chance to ring her parents after winning gold in Tokyo.

"I didn't ring anybody, this is the first time speaking to my mam and dad I think. I haven't been ringing people or anything like that because I'm just so exhausted and I don't know what I'm feeling right now. It hasn't hit me, I'm like what do all these people want from me?

"It just feels like I've been at a normal competition and I suppose that is how I go into every competition like it is every normal competition but it's not, it's an Olympic Games. For me to realise what's going on, it will take me a couple of weeks to not be around the team, to not be in that environment and to actually realise what has happened and what I have achieved."
