Kellan Lutz and Brittany Gonzales have welcomed their first child together, daughter Ashtyn Lilly Lutz.
The birth comes a year after the couple lost their first child six months into Brittany's pregnancy in February last year, leaving them heartbroken.
The two announced the birth as they shared photos from the delivery suite on Friday, four days after Ashtyn's safe arrival.
Brittany shared a Polaroid snap and gushed: "She's here!!!! Ashtyn Lilly Lutz | 2•22•21."
The 32-year-old actress told fans: "The day she came into the world it was snowing, raining, and freezing, but that night she was born and we woke up to sun, clear skies, and winter melting away."
Brittany referred to the loss of their first child in her post, writing: "It was so symbolic considering this time last year was literally winter for our souls only to be met one year later with the brightest sunshine.
'She ushered in a new season for us and we love her beyond comprehension.
"God redeems. He restores. He never leaves us broken-hearted, we just have to give Him the broken pieces and what He turns it into? Wow."
Twilight star Kellan shared his excitement when he reposted the same photo and caption.
"Birth is amazing!!!" the 35-year-old added to the post, along with a heart and prayer emojis.
The couple celebrated their third wedding anniversary in November 2020.
Announcing news of their pregnancy in September, Kellan wrote: "We're pregnant again! This is real life… For those that don't know, we are pregnant.
"Thank you all for lining with us, praying for us, supporting us. We're so excited."
Brittany added at the time: "It was a surprise. You know, obviously it was a surprise losing our daughter at the beginning of the year. That was tough, and still is. There still are hard moments.
"We definitely went through a lot, and I still would like to share my journey in some way that I can in the future. Here we are with another little promise!"
