Kell Brook open to fighting Chris Eubank Jr after settling Amir Khan rivalry

Kell Brook has confirmed he would be open to facing Chris Eubank Jr, providing he continues his career after taking on Amir Khan.

The Sheffield star will face his bitter rival in the long-awaited settling of their rivalry in Manchester this weekend.

Both men are considered in the twilight of their careers with Brook now aged 35 and considering his future in the sport.

However if he doesn't hang up his gloves, Brook has confirmed he would be willing to fight Eubank Jr.

“Yeah if I do continue with the game, why not?," Brook told Mirror Fighting . "I don’t like him and I would like to punch his face in as well.

Kell Brook could challenge Chris Eubank Jr after his clash with Amir Khan (Lawrence Lustig)

"I have been loving training camp in the sunny Fuerteventura. Sea, pool, cycling and it’s so nice. I have my mojo back and my big task is Amir Khan and flattening him. When the dust settles we will see what we plan on doing after."

Brook has been out of action since his brutal defeat by Terence Crawford at the back end of 2020 but has now restored his love for the sport ahead of his grudge match with Khan.

Eubank Jr recently defeated Liam Williams and has admitted he has always held a grudge over Brook for landing the opportunity to face Gennady Golvokin in 2016.

It is viewed by many that the loser of the domestic clash between Khan and Brook will look to retire, with the pair now a long way from the world title scene.

Despite hinting at retirement Brook previously suggested he would have no other career path outside of boxing, and would even be willing to step in the ring with Floyd Mayweather.

"Am I going to retire? Let's see how I'm feeling,” Brook told iFL TV.

“Whether I've got that buzz after hearing all them in Manchester screaming and cheering, when the first bell rings and whenever the last bell rings, what emotions are going to be going through me directly straight after the fight. Let's just wait and see.

"I think a lot of people want me to say I'm going to retire. Conor Benn's been mentioned, Mayweather's been saying that he wants the winner, Danny Garcia's been saying that he wants the winner, Keith Thurman's getting active again.

"What else am I going to do? If I am feeling like I am feeling now what is the point in hanging them up? This is all I have done since 9-years-old and it is the only thing I am very good at so let's wait and see."
