Keith Higgins has become the latest Mayo star to retire from inter-county football.
The 35-year-old made his debut for the county in 2005 and lined out in 75 championship matches.
He won an All-Ireland U21 title in 2006, eight senior Connacht championship titles and the National League in 2019.
The Ballyhaunis man also won a raft of individual honours, including being named the Young Footballer of the Year in 2006.
He was an All-Star on four occasions, including in three successive seasons between 2012 and 2014.
Higgins confirmed his decision on social media, writing: "The time has come to step away. It’s been an unbelievable journey and an absolute privilege. Thank you."
The corner back joins fellow stalwarts Christ Barrett, David Clarke, Seamus O’Shea, Tom Parsons, and Donal Vaughan in stepping away from the inter-county game in recent weeks.
Higgins was an unused substitute in Mayo's All-Ireland final defeat to Dublin last month - the sixth time he was part of a team that came up short in the decider.
Mayo GAA chairman Liam Moffatt said: "Mayo GAA would like to sincerely thank Keith for his immense contribution and commitment to Mayo GAA throughout his distinguished playing career.
"We wish Keith all the best in 2021 and beyond."
Ballyhaunis GAA also paid tribute to Higgins, writing: "Amassing over 150 appearances in the Green & Red, the day has come where Keith ‘zippy’ Higgins has announced his retirement from inter county football.
"The club are immensely proud of Keith and all he has achieved in the past 16 seasons. A legend on & off the pitch. Thanks Keith"
