Zach Wilson has been making the rounds in the New York sports world with the New York Jets QB celebrating the Rangers’ Game 7 playoff win a few days ago and on Thursday, he took in a Mets day game.
The SNY broadcast pointed him out in the Citi Field crowd, and cameras focused on his WILSON Mets jersey. Now, to most people, that would indicate he’s a fan of former New York Mets great Mookie Wilson.
But Zach Wilson’s last name is … Wilson. And that’s something broadcaster Keith Hernandez didn’t pick up on, leading to lots of laughs from the booth:
Keith Hernandez thought Zach Wilson was wearing a Mookie Wilson jersey at the Mets game 😂

Seriously: Is there any better booth than the Mets’ group that calls games?
