Keith Gillespie's Allan Saint-Maximin, Callum Wilson and Miguel Almiron relegation warning to Newcastle

Newcastle risk losing Allan Saint-Maximin, Miguel Almiron and Callum Wilson if they are relegated, Keith Gillespie has warned.

The Magpies head into the weekend just two points clear of the Premier League's relegation zone after a run of just two wins in 20 matches.

United are bookies' favourites for relegation and will likely face a mass exodus of their top talent should they fall out of the Premier League.

Callum Wilson still harbours international ambitions after 10 goals in 21 Premier League matches for Newcastle this term, while Allan Saint-Maximin has the potential to be one of the leading wingers in the Premier League.

Miguel Almiron has also made noises about potentially leaving Newcastle and Gillespie feels the trio will want to remain at the top level.

“It’s really tough for them. Saint-Maximin, Almiron and Wilson are their creative players," Gillespie told the Transfer Tavern.

“I wouldn’t expect those players to be there next year if they go down because they are Premier League class players.

“They’ll be wanting to play at the top level.”
