Keith Flint's beloved Essex home sold for £1.4million a year after his death

Keith Flint's beloved Essex mansion has sold for £1.4million a year after his death.

The iconic Prodigy front man - who was found dead at the age of 49 at the property last March - had embraced the life of a 'country gent' at his six acre Dunmow home.

Keith played a huge role in the 90s rave moment and built up an estate worth £11.6million, but it was later revealed that the singer was around £7.3million in debts and taxes.

His 15th century Grade II listed home had been put up for sale days before his death by Andersons estate agents but was taken down following the tragic news he had taken his own life.

The country pile went back on the market five months later and has now been sold.

The four-bedroom detached house with six acres of land, four reception rooms and a gym, sauna and jacuzzi room was on the market for £1,450,000.

Just some of the features at North End Farm Cottage include; old ledge and brace wooden doors with hand carvings in the woodwork, an original brick built inglenook fireplace, cast iron wood burning stoves and exposed timbers and brickwork.

The property also has a large amount of outbuildings that include a triple bay cartlodge, four garages all with power supply, two with timber doors and two with roller shutters, a workshop area, an area with hot tub and a large barn.

The grounds are completely secluded with stunning countryside views, specimen trees, a large pond, and ample space and grazing for stabling and horses, reports Essex Live.

Many of Keith's items from the house were also sold off at auction to pay off his debts.

His £20,000 gothic bed, a two handed sword, his record collection and gold discs and music awards were snapped up by fans last November.

The website, set up by auctioneers Cheffins, crashed due to the number of online bidders trying to get a look at the collection, which fetched a total of £347,750.

On March 4 2019, Keith was found dead at his Essex mansion at the age of 49.

The news was confirmed by his heartbroken bandmates Liam Howlett and Leeroy Thornhill.

"The news is true, I can’t believe I’m saying this but our brother Keith took his own life over the weekend," they wrote.

"I’m shell shocked, f**kin angry, confused and heart broken ..... r.i.p brother Liam #theprodigy"

Thousands of music fans travelled to say their goodbyes to the iconic frontman at his funeral on March 29.

After the procession turned into a huge day rave, The Prodigy's Liam Howlett took to The Prodigy’s social media to say thank you to those who turned out.

"I would like to thank everybody that turned up to celebrate the life of our brother Keef,” he said.

"It was a truly emotional and overwhelming day.

"Thank you for your support, you did him proud.

“Much love and respect. LH.”

Keith and his bandmates were in the middle of a new tour at the time of his death.

They had played in New Zealand at the start of February and were due to go out again on tour next month to Columbia.
