Keith Duffy can't remember Boyzone heyday because he partied hard and was too drunk

Boyzone's Keith Duffy admitted that he can't remember the band's heyday as he enjoyed a lifestyle of getting drunk.

The 45-year-old partied hard after the boys made it big, and he still enjoys that lifestyle years on.

Now the band have split for good, he told the Daily Star: "I can't remember any of the early years. I watch videos of the old days and it's the first time I've seen it. Jack Daniel's has a lot to answer for."

The hunky star confessed he doesn't want to grow up as he thinks some old people are boring.

He continued: "I don't know how Ronan gets up at 4am to do his radio show. I'm not even home at that time," referring to his pal Ronan Keating.

The band formed in 1993 by Keith himself, Ronan Keating, Stephen Gately, Mikey Graham and Shane Lynch.

Speaking to  The Sun  about their early years, they recalled wild nights playing in clubs across Ireland where they were "frightened for their lives".

Ronan said: "We were having s**t thrown at us, lads wanting to beat the s**t out of us and girls wanting to jump up to kiss and hug us on stage.

"One night Duster (Keith) had to grab Stephen and me and drag us through the dancefloor because the lads were trying to punch the heads off us.

They played all over the world on eight tours, and Keith joked: "I'm not allowed to talk about what went on. What happens on the road, stays on the road."

Boyzone sold 25million records and won four Brit awards.

After 26 years of chart success, they split separate ways, and played their final gig on Friday at London Palladium.
