Keith Barry shocks Ireland AM presenters Alan Hughes and Ciara Doherty with admission of what he does first every morning

Keith Barry had Ireland AM's presenters swiftly moving on when he told them he has a "freezing cold shower" first thing every morning.

The mentalist was speaking on Thursday morning's show about helping people manage their stress levels during this unusual time.

Alan Hughes and Ciara Doherty had the hypnotist in the studio via video link where he started going through his morning routine on how to best lower stress.

His first suggestion was a freezing cold shower in the morning - something presenters Alan and Ciara didn't seem too keen on and swiftly asked him for more reasonable ideas.

The Waterford man went on to tell them how through breathing and visualisation you can destress yourself.

The process involves taking a number of deep breaths in and out before making your body feel lose and free - Barry then says you should visualise yourself in a cinema by yourself with a big screen with your one goal for the day on the screen.

When visualising that he says it will make it easier for you to achieve your goals for the day, and is similar to the methods he used on Munster Rugby player Keith Earls to help him in recent years.

If you missed Keith's segment or any of the show you can catch up on the Virgin Media Player.

They said on their Facebook page: "In case you missed Keith Barry on the show today you can catch up on the Virgin Media Player AND you can catch him on the ISPCC Childline Facebook live tomorrow at 12:30PM doing Magic Tricks for Kids in aid of the ISPCC Childine #NeverGiveUpOnAChildEver campaign."
