Keith Andrews' latest take on the promotion battle won't surprise Leeds United fans

Former Blackburn Rovers star turned pundit Keith Andrews has had his say on Leeds United 's chances of promotion to the Premier League and fans might be a little worried by it.

The Whites host Wigan Athletic this afternoon and are aiming to retain their second-place spot in the Championship.

Leeds led Sheffield United by three points ahead of the Good Friday fixtures and were four points adrift of leaders Norwich City.

It is becoming more and more of a two-way battle for second in the division and with just three games remaining after today, Andrews feels that Leeds are in the ideal spot to win promotion to the Premier League.

However, the former midfielder cannot get over the feeling that there might be a twist.

Leeds United stars join social media boycott in campaign against racism

“Leeds, right now, are in the driving seat. Three points ahead and with the run in they have, you would favour them, but logic and the Championship in the same sentence doesn’t go too often," Andrews told Sky Sports.

“Normally Easter is a big crunch time, it’s the business end, there still could be a twist but Leeds are the favourites.”
