After 14 years on the E! network, the weekly exploits of the Kardashian-Jenner-West families will no longer be reality television fodder.
In an instagram post Tuesday, Kim Kardashian West announced that “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” will end in 2021.
The series, which made millionaires out of Kim Kardashian West and Kylie Jenner, brought Bruce Jenner’s transgender journey to the cultural forefront, made household names of Khloe Kardashian and Kris Jenner, and social media moguls of the entire family, will cease production after 20 seasons.
“After what will be 14 years, 20 seasons, hundreds of episodes and numerous spin-off shows, we are beyond grateful to all of you who’ve watched us for all of these years — through the good times, the bad times, the happiness, the tears, and the many relationships and children. We’ll forever cherish the wonderful memories and countless people we’ve met along the way,” Kardashian West wrote.
The series created 12 spinoffs since its debut in 2007, including “Khloé and Lamar,” ‘I Am Kait,” “Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami” and “Revenge Body with Khloe Kardashian.”
Season 19 will premiere Sept. 17 on the cable network, following a temporary production shutdown due to the pandemic.
