Keeping the Browns starting OL together was important to John Dorsey

Bringing back starting left tackle Greg Robinson was a no-brainer move for Browns GM John Dorsey.

The man in charge of assembling the Cleveland roster stressed the importance of having continuity on the offensive line. Dorsey was asked about the Robinson signing in his NFL combine press conference.

“Anytime you can have five returning offensive linemen there’s a degree of comfort,” Dorsey stated emphatically. “Now those guys have to execute and be one.”

He then turned his focus to Robinson, who filled in admirably after taking over for Desmond Harrison midseason.

“In evaluating, when Greg stepped into his role as the starting left tackle I thought he did a great job, The one thing I admire most about him is how competitive he is. We tend to forget that he’s only 25 years old.”

Dorsey did leave the door open to bring in more competition along the line, but concluded on Robinson by stating,

“I couldn’t be happier in terms of keeping those five guys together and beginning to keep the foundation in place.”
