The Rushmen just keep on rushin’ on. If you can believe it, former Ohio State defensive ends Joey and Nick Bosa have been named NFL Defensive Players of the Week. Nick Bosa was named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week for his three-sack, one interception performance against the Carolina Panthers.
Not to be outdone by his younger brother, the Chargers’ Joey Bosa was named the AFC Defensive Player of the Week for what he did this past weekend against the Chicago Bears. He picked up two sacks, four tackles for loss, and seven total tackles.
This all came in the same week that current Ohio State defensive end Chase Young had a game for the ages and picked up a slew of national college player of the week awards.
This would be awfully hard to confirm without some serious research and resources, but we’re going to go out on a limb and say that this is the first time two brothers got Defensive Player of the Week at the same time.
Larry Johnson may never have a better recruiting tool than what he has now. Go sell it man. Go sell it.
