Keep your cool in run-up to competitive exams
PATNA: The education system in India has shifted from subjective to objective and the race to get admission in the best institution has intensified. What matters in these situations is the concentration and commitment towards preparations for the competitive exams.
Appearing for a competitive exam causes apprehensions among many young aspirants. It is perfectly natural to feel anxious when one sets high career goals for oneself. However, tension and anxiety are not going to help while preparing. One may in fact lose focus under pressure and hence it is important to stay calm, relaxed and motivated.
Success follows when you enjoy the work you do. The most important method to deal with this pressure is to focus on maintaining these three C's, that are Clarity, Calmness and Conscientiousness.
Being successful is challenging
Success comes from a good strategy and precise planning. If you work hard and study with a right frame of mind, success will surely come knocking at your door. Work hard and never forget that it is the smart work that pays well. It is essential to understand the value of time as it is the most crucial factor in determining success in every walk of life. Thus, start your preparations as early as possible, without procrastinating.
Maintaining balance is important
The key to keeping yourself encouraged & motivated throughout the preparation period is not to swot 24 X 7. It is also important to take out time for doing other things that you normally do along your studies to keep yourself fresh and active.
Take a short 10-minute break after an hour or so to retain concentration. Occasional thoughtful brain breaks should be taken for relaxing.
Maintain a balance between your study time and other activities.
Being calm will bring in desired results
Being calm will in turn bolster your confidence in your own knowledge & understanding. If you are calm and have a clear mind you will remain motivated which will transform you in a conscientious and a diligent student.
Maintaining a mental attitude like this will be challenging but remember these three psychological components reinforce one another. Lastly, one should go from the hardest task to the easiest task and not the other way around as this will help you better with time management.
