Chelsea fans have been giving their reaction to the signing of centre-back Malang Saar.
The 21-year-old has signed a five-year deal with Chelsea after the expiry of his contract at Ligue 1 club Nice.
He is however expected to go straight back on loan this season in order to build on the experience he already has acquired in Europe.
Speaking about the transfer, Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia said: "The opportunity to sign Malang was one we could not miss. He is a tremendous prospect and we will be monitoring him closely during his loan period, hoping he will soon be back at Chelsea.
"We are very happy to welcome him to the club today."
Saar is the second new player at Chelsea in two days, with the club confirming the £50 million signing of full-back Ben Chilwell from Leicester City yesterday (Wednesday).
The Blues are also expected to complete the signings of Thiago Silva and Kai Havertz in the next few days.
After the announcement of Saar, Chelsea fans took to social media to give their reaction to the latest arrival.
The defender came up through the youth team at Nice and has made 102 league appearances for the club.
19 of them came in the 2019/20 season, with some of them coming in the left-back position.
The club signing the defender on loan is still unknown, but Chelsea fans will be hoping that he continues to go from strength to strength ahead of making his Blues debut.
