'Keep Solskjaer!' - Worried Tottenham fans react as Man United contact Mauricio Pochettino

Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to social media and are reacting to reports that Manchester United have approached Mauricio Pochettino about becoming their next manager.

This is according to our friends at the Manchester Evening News.

Furthermore, the report states that United have made contact with Pochettino's representatives amid the team's dismal form under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Mauricio Pochettino's last Spurs press conference

Earlier this week, Pochettino, appearing on Monday Night Football, admitted that he was ready to make a return to management after almost a year on from leaving Spurs.

"I always feel ready to be again involved in the game," Pochettino told Sky Sports on Monday Night Football.

"Football is my passion, it’s not stress when you are working, it’s not a stress to go into the training ground, it’s not a stress to prepare for the game, it’s not a stress to compete.

"I am looking forward to being involved in the game.

"I love the game, it’s difficult, we are inside, we are working, but it’s not the same as being involved every single day, the time you spent with your players and your staff.

"You miss that, that’s the reality."

Pochettino's admission, coupled with United's reported approach has garnered a big reaction from Spurs fans on social media.

With that said, Pochettino to Man United is not a guarantee.

As per the MEN, the United hierarchy were privately backing Solskjaer prior to Wednesday night's Champions League defeat by Istanbul Basaksehir and are reluctant to part company with the Norwegian so early in the season.

But could that stance change if they lose away at Everton on Sunday?
