A missing person hunt has been launched by police for a 75-year-old man who vanished in Aberdeen.

Robin Green was last seen at around 10.30am on Friday in the Cornhill Road area of the city.

Police searching for Robin have urged members of the public to come forward with any information on his whereabouts.

Officers said Robin is known to walk the hills of the Upper and Lower Deeside area in Aberdeenshire.

Robin is described as being white with short grey hair and grey stubble. He is around 5ft 10in tall, of average build, with green eyes.

He was last known to be wearing a white and blue pin striped shirt tucked into dark chino trousers.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Anyone who believes they may have seen Robin or who has any information can call 101, quoting incident 1253 for Friday July 2.”
