Keely Hodgkinson’s MUA reveals the exact products behind her race-day look

The Olympic champion took to the track with bold blue winged liner - (PA)

From Amy Hunt’s statement nails to Keely Hodgkinson’s blue winged liner, the Team GB athletes have showcased iconic looks as well as athletic prowess in this year’s European Athletics Championships.

Ahead of defending her 800m crown in Birmingham, Hodgkinson took to TikTok with her make-up artist Annabel Clark-Clements to reveal her track glam, with bold blue winged eyeliner taking centre stage.

From her recent Runner’s World cover shoot to Hodgkinson’s Nike collab, the Olympic champion works closely with Clark-Clements, and now we’ve spoken to her to get the rundown on all the products she used for Friday night’s track look.

“We decided to opt for blue to match the championships race kit,” said Clark-Clements. “It was a bold look compared to what we would usually do, but we wanted something fun that you would see from a distance.”

To achieve a sweat-proof finish, Clark-Clements used a combination of base products: “For Keely’s skin, we used Kylie skin tint (£28, Lookfantastic.com), with Natasha Denona concealer (£34, Sephora.co.uk), Rare beauty liquid contour (£28, Sephora.co.uk), with Caia cosmetics glow powder bronzer (£40, Caiacosmetics.co.uk) to set.

“For blush, we used Rhode ‘tan lines’ (£25, Rhodeskin.com), then highlighted with Chanel baume essential (£38, Boots.com).”

For Hodgkinson’s bold winged eyeliner, Clark-Clements said: “We used my favourite longwear pencil, Sephora’s 12hr waterproof eyeliner pencil in shade 05, and Victoria Beckham’s ‘navy noir’ palette (£72, Victoriabeckhambeauty.com) to add depth and smoke the edges.

“The blue mascara was Essence ‘I love extreme blue’ mascara (£2.99, Amazon.co.uk), with cluster lashes on the outer edge.”

The finishing touches were “Makeup forever’s ‘endless cacao’ lipliner (£20.95, Sephora.co.uk) with a dab of Rhode ‘salty tan’ lipgloss (£20, Sephora.co.uk). Then we set everything in place with Huda beauty easy bake powder (£34, Sephora.co.uk) and L’Oréal infallible setting spray (£7.99, Amazon.co.uk) – the best long-lasting combination.”
