Keeley Bunker, 20, was last seen on the way home from concert in Birmingham ( Staffordshire Police )

A teenager has been charged with murder after the body of a young woman was discovered in woodland in Staffordshire.

Wesley Streete, 19, of Tamworth, will appear in court on Monday accused of killing Keeley Bunker, 20.

Bunker was last seen around 4am on Thursday in Leyfields, Tamworth, on the way home from a gig in Birmingham.

Paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service were called to reports of a person in a stream in the Staffordshire market town shortly after 9pm that day.

The woman was located but paramedics were unable to save her. Her body has not yet been formally identified but Staffordshire Police said it is believed to be Bunker.

Floral tributes were laid at the scene on Friday afternoon as friends addressed heartfelt messages to the young woman.

Another message left at the scene read: "Keeley, sending you all my love, you will be missed by all. Rest well xox."

A police spokesperson said: "Her family are being supported by specially trained officers at this time."

Streete will appear at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Monday.
