Kebab van set on fire at property raided by police

The kebab van was destroyed by the fire in Adelaide's west.

Police are investigating a suspicious fire involving a food truck at an Adelaide home that was recently raided by police.

Emergency crews were called to the property at Mile End about 3:30am, and found the kebab van on fire in the front yard of the property.

The Metropolitan Fire Service (MFS) quickly extinguished the fire, which destroyed the food truck.

SA Police detectives recently attended the address on King Street.

Constable Kylie Simpson said the evidence at the scene suggested the blaze was not an accident.

"Thankfully there was no other damage and no other injuries," she said.

"But there was some accelerant at the scene, so we do believe it was liberally lit.

"Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000."

In a separate incident, police are also investigating the theft of an Audi which was later found burning at Croydon Park overnight.

Police said the car was stolen from the CBD several hours before it was discovered ablaze on Berliet Street.
