Keanu Reeves looks smitten with Alexandra Grant after confirming secret romance

Hollywood legend Keanu Reeves can be seen gazing with a wide grin on his face at girlfriend Alexandra Grant in new photos.

The red carpet snaps show Alexandra's a natural in front of the cameras as beardy Keanu flashes a loving grin at the lady he's been "secretly dating for almost a year".

Keanu opted for his usual dark suit, while Alexandra oozed confidence and grace in a deep blue gown.

The Matrix and Point Break star, 55, met 46 year old Alexandra back in 2011 when she worked on the illustrations for a book he'd penned.

A source told People magazine: "[They] started dating earlier this year but have wanted to keep it quiet."

They added: "Keanu wants to openly share his life with her. He is extremely happy and grateful to have Alex in his life."

It's a step fans didn't expect Keanu to make, as the star has tended to be quite private with his love life all through his 35 year career.

He's been surrounded by rumours throughout that time, including speculation he was involved with Speed co-star Sandra Bullock.

While their friendship became Tinsel Town legend in the nineties, they both admitted to having crushes on each other during filming.

He was also involved with Hollywood production assistant Jennifer Syme in 1999, but their romance came to an end after the tragedy of a stillbirth.

Jennifer died two years later in a car crash, a day after she'd reportedly had brunch with Keanu.

He's seen a resurgence in his career recently with the wild success of the John Wick trilogy of films, which sees Keanu hellbent on revenge against those that have wronged him.

Fans were shocked to hear that he'd be making a return to The Matrix franchise - more than fifteen years after the original trilogy ended.

Even more confusing is the fact that Keanu's character - the godlike Neo - was killed off in the final installment.
