Marvel boss Kevin Feige has confirmed that Keanu Reeves has been in talks to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
Speaking to Comicbook.com, Feige said that the studio has had several conversations with the Toy Story 4 actor hoping to find a way to bring him into the superhero franchise.
“We talk to him for almost every film we make,” he said. “ I don’t know when, if, or ever he’ll join the MCU, but we very much want to figure out the right way to do it.”
The actor, who brings a new character – Duke – to the Toy Story franchise in its new instalment, was chosen from a blind line-up by filmmakers.
They invited the actor to Pixar to discuss the character and, by the end of the meeting, Reeves had jumped up on the table to demonstrate Duke’s now-trademark action poses.
Meanwhile, Marvel has also confirmed that comic-book movie juggernaut Avengers: Endgame will be re-released next weekend with brand new footage.
Feige spoke to Comicbook.com about the exciting news earlier this week, stating “we are doing that”, admitting “I don’t know if it’s been announced. And I don’t know how much... Yeah, we’re doing it next weekend.”
