Keanu Neal defends himself on Twitter over controversial hit on Jordan Reed

Keanu Neal has everything an NFL team would want in a strong safety –he’s fearless, physical and never shies away from contact. Falcons coach Dan Quinn could not create a more perfect model to play the position that fits his philosophy if he tried.

After missing nearly all of last season, Neal’s return has been somewhat spoiled after he was penalized for a helmet-to-helmet hit on Washington tight end Jordan Reed that’s come under scrutiny.

Neal took to Twitter to defend himself from those criticizing him for the hit and insinuating that he had malicious intent.

Neal knows how easy it is to lose a season in the blink of an eye, so it’s hard to believe he’d go out there trying to hurt others.
