Keane Lewis-Potter has explained his reasons for choosing Brentford amid interest from a host of Premier League suitors.

Lewis-Potter became the Bees’ record signing when he completed a switch from Hull City on Monday, in a deal that could rise to £20million.

The England U21 international was one of the EFL’s most sought-after talents heading into the summer window after a terrific season in the Championship.

He had been linked with a number of top-flight clubs, including West Ham and Leicester, but has opted to join Thomas Frank’s side ahead of their second season in the top flight.

“It’s an unbelievable feeling, I can’t really describe it, to be honest,” he told the club website, after penning a six-year deal.

“All you have to do is look at the team over the last few years now and how much it’s improved. It’s a club that is definitely on the up and it’s definitely the right club for me.”
