KCom has revealed the latest areas to benefit from its £100 million full fibre broadband network expansion.
The award-winning network will stretch from Goole to Withernsea, Howden to Hornsea in the latest phase, with Pocklington also set to benefit.
It will take in a further 22,000 more properties.
KCom has already completed engineering work bringing full fibre to the East Riding towns of Driffield and Market Weighton, and the village of Nafferton, following January’s launch.

"Our investment in cutting edge broadband technology is already bringing real benefits to residents across East Yorkshire and soon the people of Pocklington, Goole, Withernsea, Howden and Hornsea will be able to join the KCom family and enjoy the huge advantages our ultrafast Lightstream broadband brings with it.
"The encouraging response we’ve had in the communities we’ve already reached shows there’s pent-up demand for the high-quality broadband services we provide.
"This investment in Fibre To the Premises (FTTP) infrastructure is not just making life easier with faster download speeds for people at home – it is also helping to create growth and innovation and will play a massive role in underpinning the region’s economic recovery after Covid-19.
"Our full fibre infrastructure is contributing to the creation of a regional powerhouse with a broadband capacity that is the envy of the rest of the UK."
It comes as the company secured £30 million in funding from Lloyds to plough into the capital intensive project.
This phase will see 8,500 properties in Goole, 4,500 in Pocklington, 4,000 in Hornsea, 3,000 in Withernsea and nearly 2,000 in Howden connected to Lightstream.
Minister for Digital Infrastructure, Matt Warman, said: “It’s fantastic that more people and businesses across East Riding will have their broadband boosted as KCom expands its full fibre network.
“Alongside £5 billion from the government, industry investment in next-generation internet speed will be vital to our plans to unlock the true economic potential of villages, towns and regions across the UK.”
The company is set to announce more locations for its fibre expansion programme in August. The South Bank of the Humber was highlighted in January.
