Kay Burley's on-air rant at Brexit Party MEP who accused her of being a Remainer

Sky News presenter Kay Burley launched an angry rant at a Brexit Party MEP live on air when she was accused of being a Remainer.

Burley was discussing Britain's exit from the EU with Brexiteer Lucy Harris and pro-EU activist Femi Oluwole, when the conversation erupted into a fierce debate.

The broadcaster said the MEP was over-the-top by saying Remainers wanted 15 referendums until they got the result they wanted, to which she responded by saying 'Ms Burley should vote remain'.

The presenter fired back: "You literally have no idea which way I voted, by the way," before Ms Harris responded: "Ok".

Burley then asked her which way she thought she had voted before the MEP insisted "she voted Remain.... absolutely".

The broadcaster said "do you?" repeatedly before telling Mr Oluwole: "Should I tell her I didn't vote or not?"

Ms Harris then ranted at Ms Burley, telling her: "In this country, you should be using your vote.

"You have to be able to use your vote in this country to have a healthy democracy."

Burley hit back, saying: "Maybe I was using my vote by not voting. I'm entitled to do that.

"I'm an impartial journalist and so as a result I... you don't think I am?"

Ms Harris then told her she didn't think she was an impartial journalist.

Before the programme cut to a news bulletin Ms Burley said: "OK, thanks for joining us on the programme this afternoon.

"I actually looked at an Ofcom report the other day that suggested that Sky News was the most trusted news service in the country as far as broadcasters were concerned. Just saying."
