Kay Burley says she has taken the RSPCA out of her will and cancelled her support of the animal charity after they refused to take in a stray dog she found in West London.
The Sky broadcaster found a staffordshire bull terrier in her local park in Harrow, West London, but upon contacting the RSPCA was told she had to speak to the local council instead.
Burley tweeted the RSPCA to tell them she was outraged they did not want to help.
The RSPCA then contacted her to explain that they could only pick up a stray dog if it was in danger or severely suffering, but it did nothing to sate Burley, who explained the dog was "severely stressed" and could have been run over and therefore was very much in danger.
“Thank you for stepping in to help terrified staff when RSPCA couldn’t be bothered,” she said to Harrow council in a tweet.
When the RSPCA continued to say it wasn't their problem, she criticised them for their "unacceptable reply" and poor tone.
Burley later told The Daily Mail she was taking the charity out of her will and unsubscribing to them, having donated to them for several years.
“I’m bloody outraged,” she said, calling the way they handled the situation “unacceptable”.
