Kay Burley's interview with the Dawn Butler seemingly descended into farce when the Sky presenter repeatedly asked the same question despite getting a coherent answer each time.
The interview got off to a strained start when Burley asked Butler if she wanted Corbyn to win the leadership contest.
“I don’t think that Jeremy will win,” Butler's reply began, before Burley interjected by accusing her of not answering the question.
“Yes, but I’m answering”, Butler explained.
"No, you're not," Burley insisted. "No no, my question is, do you want him to win?"
Butler resorted to telling Burley to “calm down” in a bid to actually answer the question.
Trying again, she said: "So what I'm saying is, I nominated Jeremy, I'm happy that I nominated him. I don't think he will win, the person that I'd like to win would be Andy."
There was a brief pause, before Burley asked: "Do you want him to win?"
"I'd like Andy Burnham to win, because I think Andy is the leader that we need to take the party forward and to actually unite the party, so I'd like Andy Burnham to win."
"So what was the point of voting for Jeremy Corbyn to be on the ballot paper in the first place?"
"Because, as I said right at the beginning, it was our responsibility as MPs to make sure we had the widest possible debate."
This continued until Burley eventually decided to move her line of questioning over to whether Corbyn would be welcome in Andy Cooper's shadow cabinet, with Burley repeatedly correcting Butler's response that Cooper had said Corbyn would be welcome.
Butler was reduced to asking Burley, “what is wrong with you?” after Burley told her he wouldn't have a place because Cooper had already stated he would not have Corbyn as a shadow chancellor.
Laughing, Butler responded was forced to remind her that there are other positions available within the cabinet. "Don't tell me he didn't say it because he did! He said it."
