Kawhi Leonard somehow didn’t get all 11 votes for NBA Finals MVP

Kawhi Leonard is an NBA champion for the second time in his career. He’s also the NBA Finals MVP for a second time after a dominating performance in the Raptors 4-2 series win over the Golden State Warriors.

But he only got 10 of the 11 votes for Finals MVP, falling just one short of a complete sweep.

The one person who didn’t pick him? Hubie Brown, who called the Finals on ESPN radio. The legendary broadcaster apparently thought Fred VanVleet did enough to get his vote.

Which is kind of silly, because while VanVleet did have big moments for the Raptors in the series, everything went through Leonard, who had over 30 points in three games and capped off one of the most impressive postseason runs by a player in NBA history.
