Kawhi Leonard sadly says the story about him eating apples with a knife and fork isn’t true

Remember back in 2019 when an oral history of Kawhi Leonard’s days at San Diego State revealed the fun guy’s trash talk included “Board man gets paid”?

Good times, those were. However, it also led to people sharing stories about Leonard that were absolutely fake … but because of what we knew about Leonard, we paused — could they be real?

There was one that dropped about how Leonard once went out for a San Antonio Spurs team dinner, pulled out a bag of a dozen apples and ate them all with a fork and knife after proclaiming, “Apple time, apple time.”

At the time, we pointed out it was fake. But on Wednesday, while appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the host asked him about that story, which he of course denied.
