Kawhi Leonard ends Raptors speech with hilarious nod to his mocked laugh

Kawhi Leonard was in on the joke. He played us all along.

Who could forget the glorious press conference Kawhi Leonard gave during Raptors media day back in September? Wearing a Raptors jersey for the first time, Kawhi told the NBA world that he was a “fun guy” and broke out the most robotic, jarringly unnatural laugh.

It became a meme, and that meme lived on throughout the season.

Well, fast forward nine months to the Toronto Raptors’ NBA championship parade on Monday, and it was clear that Leonard had the last laugh (I know).

While delivering his championship speech at the parade, Leonard ended by mocking that much-memed laugh. And the Raptors players completely lost it. The whole crowd loved it.

Look at that reaction.

The team acted like they witnessed a poster dunk from the end of the bench. They had the “stay back” extension on the arms and everything.

If Leonard does eventually decide to leave Toronto in free agency, at least he ended the run on an epic note.
