Katy Perry is set to receive the Colleagues Champion of Children Award at the 35th annual Colleagues spring luncheon on April 25 at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. The award recognizes her contributions through the Firework Foundation, which she co-founded in 2019 with her sister Angela Lerche.

The Firework Foundation focuses on empowering youth through various programs, including a summer camp where Perry actively participates by leading workshops on songwriting, music production, and choreography.

The event will be hosted by Ali Wentworth and will feature a fashion show showcasing Oscar de la Renta's fall 2024 collection designed by Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia.

Perry's philanthropic efforts have not gone unnoticed, as she has previously been honored with awards such as the Trevor Project's Hero Award, UNICEF’s Audrey Hepburn Humanitarian Award, and the Human Rights Campaign's National Equality Award.

Aside from her charitable work, Perry has also been in the spotlight for her role as a judge on ABC's American Idol. She recently announced her departure from the show, hinting at new music or a forthcoming release.

The Colleagues, established in 1950, is a group of dedicated women volunteers in Los Angeles who support underserved women, children, and families. Their mission is to make a positive impact on the community through their time and expertise.
