Katy Perry mailed Taylor Swift an olive branch, marking apparent end to feud

Taylor Swift and Katy Perry have called "End Game" on their long, drawn-out feud.

After years of rumored bad blood between the pop stars and dramatic airings of grievances via song, Swift revealed Tuesday that Perry had extended a literal olive branch via snail mail.

"Thank you Katy," Swift wrote on Instagram, where she shared a video of the symbolic package.

The "Chained to the Rhythm" singer, 33, also included a note that appears to mention wanting to clear the air with her longtime foe.

"Hey old friend, I've been doing some reflecting on past miscommunications," Perry's letter began.

The makeup marks the apparent end to a feud years in the making, one that kicked off after Perry was rumored to have swiped Swift's backup dancers in 2013.

Though Swift, 28, has never publicly acknowledged her beef with Perry, she hinted someone who had given her professional strife was the inspiration behind her bitter 2014 anthem "Bad Blood."

"She did something so horrible," Swift told Rolling Stone of her unnamed inspiration. "I was like, 'Oh, we're just straight-up enemies.' And it wasn't even about a guy! It had to do with business. She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me."

For her part, Perry admitted that the backup dancers story was legitimate _ but not exactly as it appeared.

The "Firework" singer told James Corden in July she had known the dancers for years, and that she had been their first choice of tour mate, but was not on the road at the time.

"I was like, 'Yeah, of course, I'm not on a record cycle...get the work (with Swift) and she's great. But I will be on a record cycle probably in about a year, so be sure to put a 30-day contingency in your contract, so you can get out of it if you want to join me," she said.

Still, she added, she "loved" the singer _ despite the fact that her recent single "Swish, Swish" is reportedly a dig at Swift.

Perry had also called on Swift more than once to take initiative and apologize for the feud, tweeting once that she'd be willing to record a collaboration with Swift "if she says sorry."

Swift, who is also rumored to have dated Perry's long-term ex John Mayer, is currently headed on tour in support of her sixth studio album "Reputation," released in November.
