But 2019 was, without a doubt, her most dramatic display to date as the 34-year-old arrived in the most abstract ensemble of the evening.
The singer caught everyone's attention as she illuminated the pink carpet dressed as a chandelier.
The creation was designed by Moschino and was made up of a dazzling embellished dress, which was encased with a decorative hanging light that featured numerous candles and draped crystal beading.
Perry even managed to balance a second, slightly smaller chandelier on her head, which rather impressively stayed put as the star made her way slowly, but surely up the steps of New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Making sure she sparkled from head to toe, even the singer's shoes were glistening as she wore gem-covered heels by Judith Leiber.
