Katy Perry has confessed she is glad that she decided to have a baby at this stage of her life.
The Hot N Cold singer, 36, gave birth to her first child with Orlando Bloom, daughter Daisy in August last year.
And she has revealed that she is "so glad" that she didn't miss out on the opportunity to become a mother as "it's been the best thing".
The American Idol judge told Miranda Kerr on Instagram Live on Tuesday: "There was no feeling like the feeling when I had my daughter.
"That was like all the love that I was ever searching for. It was like bam."
While comparing motherhood to being a celebrity and a singer, Katy admitted that love for a celebrity status "fluctuates" from the outside world, but a child's love is "constant and unconditional".
She confessed that she is happy that she didn't "keep bulldozing ahead" with her career and "disregarding" her desire to be a mother.
"It's amazing to have this opportunity to be a businesswoman, but at 34, when I was like, 'OK, I'm ready,' I'm so glad I made the conscious decision to actually try and do that," she said.
During the Instagram chat with the ex-fiancee of Orlando Bloom, Katy also revealed that it is Miranda who gives her the best health tips.
Miranda, who is the mother of Orlando Bloom's 10-year-old son, Flynn, was praised by the singer for helping her to adopt a healthier lifestyle.
Katy added: "I went through this huge transformation after having Daisy about, what am I putting into my body?"
Katy also saved some room to praise Orlando, labelling him an "adonis".
The singer and actor got engaged in February 2019 after rekindling their romance.
They first got together in 2016 but broke up the following year.
But since getting back together they've continued to go from strength to strength and some fans are convinced they have got married in secret.
The singer was spotted wearing what looked like a wedding ring in pictures obtained by Page Six.
