Katie Taylor looks unlikely to face Amanda Serrano in her next bout after recent comments made by the Puerto Rican's trainer, manager, and brother-in-law Jordan Maldonado.
The pair were due to clash in March this year before Covid-19 brought a halt to sport around the world.
The bout was eventually rearranged for August, but Serrano pulled out of it over issues around the fight purse.
Taylor instead took on Delfine Persoon in Eddie Hearn's garden before also beating Miriam Gutierrez in London last month.
Serrano defeated Santo Domingo in 90 seconds earlier this week in what was her first time in the ring in 11 months and her manager is now targeting two other bouts for her before trying to make a fight with Taylor again.
Maldonado told Boxing Scene: “It’s being built as the biggest fight in female history, but the numbers are not reflecting that.

“If the fight is that big in magnitude, I believe it takes two to tango. Both girls are the ones making it that way, so why is there an 80-20 purse split? I was willing to accept 60-40 in Katie's favor; I respect her, I know she deserves it. Anything less than that is insulting to me. I'm not taking 70-30 or 80-20. That's crazy.
“Aside from me being her manager and her trainer, that's my family. That's my sister-in-law, that's my wife's little sister, that's my children's aunt. So I'm not selling my sister-in-law's value to some promoter who thinks his girl is worth ten times more than mine."

Maldonado now wants to see Serrano beat both Sarah Mahfond and Jelena Mrdjenovic to unify the featherweight division.
He added: "Once we do that and come out victorious, we will come back to the table when our worth is higher."
