Katie Taylor will return to action for the first time since her win over Amanda Serrano on October 29 at the Wembley Arena in London.
Argentina’s Karen Elizabeth Carabajal (19-0, 2 KOs) has been confirmed as the Bray Bomber's opponent, with Taylor (21-0, 6 KOs) putting her WBA, WBC, WBO and IBF world lightweight titles on the line.
Carabajal is undefeated in all 19 of her professional contests since turning over in August 2013 and the 32-year-old from Buenos Aires is a former WBC Latino, South American and Argentinian Super-Featherweight Champion, and is promoted by Argentine legend Marcos Maidana. This will be her first pro fight to take place outside of her native country.

A number of other Irish fighters feature on the undercard, with Belfast's Caoimhin Agyarko (12-0, 7 KOs) defending his WBA International title against New York’s undefeated Peter Dobson (16-0, 9 KOs.
Meanwhile, Irish Lightweight contender Gary Cully (14-0, 8 KOs) will fight under the Matchroom promotional banner for the first time, with his opponent to be announced soon. Cully is coached by Taylor's father Pete.
Also on the undercard, European Featherweight Champion Jordan Gill (27-1-1, 8 KOs) puts his title on the line for the first time against Spain’s two-weight World Champion Kiko Martinez (43-11-2, 30 KOs) in a fight that also doubles up as an Eliminator for the IBF World title held by Josh Warrington.
Taylor returns to the arena where she defeated Spain's Miriam Gutierrez during the Covid lockdown in late 2020. It is also the venue where the 2012 Olympic champion made her professional debut back in 2016 when she stopped Poland's Karina Szmalenberg.
“It's hard to believe it's been almost six years since I made my pro debut there so it's great to go back now and headline,” said Taylor. “It's been an amazing journey so far but there are still lots of great fights out there for me and I'm excited about what's still to come.”
“I was very happy when I received the offer to challenge Katie,” said Carabajal. “The hard work has paid off. I'm not thinking for a second about giving Katie a win. All the belts will come back to Argentina with me!”
It will be Taylor's first bout since beating Serrano in a fight of the year contender at Madison Square Garden over four months ago.
Taylor defeated Serrano in what was described as the biggest female fight of all-time via split decision after two judges scored the bout 97-93 and 96-93 in her favour. The other judge scored the fight 96-94 to Serrano.
The pair had been expected to explore the possibilities of facing off in a rematch at Croke Park during the summer but Serrano's team quickly ruled that option out, although there is still hope that fight can take place next summer.
Serrano will instead face Sarah Mahfoud for the opportunity to become the undisputed featherweight champion in Manchester on September 24.
The Puerto Rican holds the WBO, WBC and IBO titles at 126lbs, while Mahfoud has the IBF belt.
Serrano v Mahfoud will take place on the undercard of Joe Joyce v Joseph Parker, with the latter of those fighters trained by former world middleweight champion and Limerick native Andy Lee.
Next month's fight will be Taylor's third time facing an Argentinian as a professional, having beaten Anahi Ester Sanchez via unanimous decision to win her first world title on the undercard of Anthony Joshua's 2017 win over Carlos Takam at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff before also winning on points against Victoria Noelia Bustos at the Barclays Centre six months later to claim her second world lightweight belt.
