Katie Taylor's mother is 'quietly confident' that her daughter will emerge victorious from her fight with Miriam Gutierrez tonight.
The undisputed lightweight queen is set for another big payday as she puts all her belts on the line in a ten-round bout against the Spaniard in London.
Her mum Bridget has been staying in a Covid-free “bubble” with Katie all week in a London hotel after flying from Dublin last weekend and is expecting a good fight at the Wembley Arena.
Everyone is tested for the virus upon entry and not allowed leave until the bout, which will be held across the road.
She told The Irish Mirror: "I'm really looking forward to it. I'm starting to feel the nerves now as well.
"I think once you see them weighing in it becomes very real so I'm nervous, but quietly confident as well.
"I think this girl's style might prove to be a good fight. You might get to see more quality shots or more technical shots."

Katie has spent the majority of this year in training camps and is returning to Connecticut after the bout to enjoy some time in America without having to prepare for a fight.
Bridget said: "It will be strange her not coming back after the fight with me. This will be the first time that she's going straight back to America, but she's never really had an opportunity to enjoy Connecticut without being in a fight.
"So she's going back to America for a couple of weeks and then she'll be home for Christmas."
It has very much been a family affair for the Taylors in the bubble this week, with Bridget's grandson Jake McMahon, 18, taking a week off school to spar with his aunt ahead of tonight's fight.

Bridget said: "He's a good spar. He pushes her. It's probably strange having a sparring partner on fight week, but it's good for her and it works for her."
Jake, who is the son of Katie’s sister Sarah, added: "She's quick, she's strong, she's brilliant at everything to be honest, technically, speed, strength. She picks her punches lovely. Obviously she is the best in the world."
"It's nearly impossible to spar her at times."
Katie described Jake as "the perfect spar" after a training session earlier in the week.
She said: "We don't go crazy. It's not a ten-round spar. It's not a ten-round war unless he's swinging shots at me, but he's the perfect spar for me and I'm learning all the time with Jake.
"He's such a promising fighter, technically brilliant. I can't really get any better spar in a fight week for myself."
