Katie Taylor's defiant message ahead of Delfine Persoon rematch

Katie Taylor says she is 'ready for anything' in her highly anticipated rematch with Delfine Persoon.

The undisputed lightweight champion defends her belts against the tough Belgian at Eddie Hearn's Matchroom Fight Camp on Saturday night.

Many feel Persoon should have been named the winner of the first fight between the pair and Taylor is aiming to win this bout 'a lot more convincingly'.

The Bray fighter posted on Instagram: "The hard work is done. The weight is made. Ready for anything."

Speaking ahead of the bout, which takes place ahead of the heavyweight showdown between Dillian Whyte and Alexander Povetkin, Taylor added:  “The last fight was very close and I’m looking forward to sorting that out. I wouldn’t say I resent anyone for their opinion on the fight. Everyone has an opinion after the fight.

“There will be differences of opinion, but hopefully not this time."

Taylor has vowed to do her talking in the ring to hit back at her critics.

She said: “I don’t take notice of what people are saying. I’m sitting here as the undisputed champion and no matter what she says, nobody can take that away from me.

“I’m a quiet person. I don’t feel the need to bite back or shout back. I’ll do my talking in the ring.”

Tonight's fight between Taylor and Persoon is expected to start around 9.30.
