Katie Taylor returns home to hero's welcome after becoming undisputed world champion

Katie Taylor has landed back in Ireland after becoming the undisputed world lightweight champion.

The Bray boxer touched down in Dublin this morning after her win over Delfine Persoon.

Speaking at the Arrivals Hall in Terminal 2, Taylor said a rematch between her and the Belgian was "inevitable".

She told reporters:  “I think the rematch is inevitable, it’s a fight people want to see again, and I can’t wait for it!”

Hundreds of fans turned up at the capital's airport to welcome home their hero.

Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, Mr Shane Ross T.D. was also in attendance.

It's still not clear if there will also be a welcome home party in Dublin city centre or her native Bray - with Dublin Lord Mayor Nial Ring offering to host something in the Mansion House if Shane Ross fails to.
