Katie Taylor responds to Chantelle Cameron's claim she would make undisputed champion 'crumble'

Katie Taylor hit back at Chantelle Cameron today by saying she is not the type of fighter who crumbles.

The undefeated English boxer and current WBC light-welterweight title holder claimed earlier this week that she knows the Bray fighter's "weaknesses", adding that she would "outwork" and "outpower" the undisputed lightweight champion.

Cameron said: "I've been seeing [her weaknesses] with different opponents.

"She doesn't like pressure. She stands there to have a fight but she isn't very powerful.

"She has massive hand speed but she can't overpower me or outwork me. She wouldn't handle that and will crumble."

Responding to the comments, Taylor said: "I'm not the type of fighter that crumbles so we can just move on from that.

"I'm just focused on Saturday night right now and if the fight happens between myself and Chantelle, we can see then who crumbles."

The 2012 Olympic gold medalist added that she doesn't pay attention to what her opponents are saying in the build-up to fights.

She commented: "I never know what's been said before the fights anyway so regardless if they're being respectful or disrespectful, I'm just in there to win and to produce a great performance.

"I don't really take too much notice of what is being said before the fight. I'm just there to win and to produce the best performance I can possibly produce."
