Katie Taylor’s lightweight fight against Miriam Gutierrez will be available to watch for free via live streams this weekend.

Sky Sports have announced that Saturday’s Fight Night boxing will be made open viewing across all digital platforms.

Subscribers can still watch on Sky Sports Arena, but those who are not Sky customers will also be able to tune in and watch from 7pm on 14 November, with the fights being streamed on YouTube and Facebook channels, as well as on the Sky Sports website.

Further fights will include Terri Harper against Katharina Thanderz in the WBC super-featherweight, and Rachel Ball’s WBA bantamweight title fight with Jorgelina Guanini.

Sky say the move is in line with their commitment to make elite women’s sport “more easily accessible to the public”.

Promotor Eddie Hearn said: "This is more ground-breaking news that helps us push women's boxing to where it needs to be.

"The momentum of the last few years led by Katie Taylor has been special to watch but we have still got a long way to go. Nights like Saturday change the narrative of the sport, and as I have said before, it's not men's boxing and it's not women's boxing, it's just boxing.

“Katie Taylor is a trailblazer and it is only right that she headlines this card on Saturday on a moment that we have all been working towards for a very long time.”

Taylor is currently the undisputed lightweight champion and will seek to defend her title against Gutierrez.
