Katie Taylor has sent a message to Amanda Serrano after the Puerto Rican pulled out of their mega-fight over a disagreement regarding her fight purse.
The two fighters were originally due to clash in May, but that event was cancelled due to the cornonavirus pandemic.
It was rescheduled for July 4, but that event was also postponed and has been rescheduled for August 22 at at Eddie Hearn's home in Essex.
A war of words broke out between Hearn and Serrano on Sunday, with the Matchroom Boxing chief claiming Serrano signed a contract for the fight.
Taylor echoed those comments in a tweet as she told Serrano: "August 22 is our time to make history."
The Bray boxer tweeted: "We both signed contracts, all financial barriers have been removed and any training/travel issues are the same for both of us as I'm also training in the US. No more excuses, this is a fight to elevate the sport. August 22 is our time to make history. You in?"
In a tweet on Sunday, Serrano said to Hearn: "Yes I signed 4 contracts to fight @KatieTaylor & despite what lies @EddieHearn wants to say he offered us a purse deduction & a change of location in addition to yet another date May 2nd, July 4th now August 22nd my team will handle this. I’m Not a Toy I’m DONE WITH THE GAMES!"
Hearn replied: "Your promoter will confirm that exactly one week ago today we confirmed in writing the new date and that you would be paid the full amount that was in your contract. Yes there were two date changes due to a slight global pandemic. You have 8 weeks no excuses!"
