Katie Taylor 'back to work' ahead of next fight

Katie Taylor appears to be back in training ahead of her next fight.

The undisputed lightweight champion enjoyed a couple of weeks at home in Ireland following her victory over Natasha Jonas earlier this month, but is now preparing for her next challenge.

She shared a snap from her training base in Connecticut on Instagram, commenting on it: "Back to work!"

Taylor is set to fight on the undercard of Josh Warrington's rematch with Mauricio Lara at Headingley, the home of Leeds Rhinos, in September.

The bout could be against Estelle Mossely, who defeated the Bray fighter as an amateur in 2016 before winning a gold medal at the Olympics later that year.

Eddie Hearn wants Leeds fan Taylor to fight on the September 4 card before facing either Amanda Serrano or Jonas again in December.

The promoter said earlier this month: “She has about seven mandatories lining up. I want her to box on a huge show I'm doing in Leeds on September 4.

“I'd like her to fight on that card because she's a big Leeds fan as well, so that's next.

“Then I want to either rematch Natasha Jonas or fight Amanda Serrano in December.”

When asked about who Taylor could fight, Hearn added: “Just one of the mandatories.

“Estelle Mossely, the girl who won the Olympics, something like that.”
