Katie Taylor admits it would be great to fight in Ireland as she discusses what's next

Katie Taylor has once again expressed her desire to fight in Ireland.

The Bray boxer has been linked with fighting at the likes of the Aviva Stadium and Croke Park in recent years, with Eddie Hearn hinting that a bout at GAA Headquarters could happen all the way back in 2016.

Four years on and Taylor has yet to fight on Irish soil as a professional. When asked about the possibility of fighting here, she told FM104: "I wouldn’t really be thinking of home advantage too much, I don’t really care where I fight.

"I’m in there to win the fight, but it would be great to fight in Ireland someday."

Taylor has a number of options for her next bout, with Amanda Serano and Jessica McCaskill among those who she could face.

The undisputed lightweight champion added: "I am willing and ready to step in against anyone. I want the big fights, I want the tough fights and I want the tough opponents.

"I want to be in the biggest fights possible in this game.

“I am not sure when my next fight is going to be. I was meant to fight Amanda Serano this year and she pulled out of the fight twice.

"I fought Jessica McCaskill before and those are big names and hopefully we can make those fights happen."
